Mission Statement
To create a pleasant, friendly atmosphere wherein we can work to
preserve, promote, and honor the historic significance of the American Civil
War era with a special focus on Cass County, Missouri, and the
Missouri-Kansas border war by providing a forum to stimulate interest
through research, discussions, programs, and the encouragement of the
preservation of articles, documents, and the sites of the time when our
